  • As a seasoned Construction Site Supervisor/Foreman with a foundation-to-finish focus, you will be a driving force behind the successful execution of construction projects. We are seeking an individual with extensive on-site building experience and a hands-on approach. Your role will involve coordinating and supervising on-site activities, ensuring strict compliance with safety regulations, and collaborating with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

    Qualifications:

    • Proven hands-on experience as a Construction Site Supervisor or Foreman in the foundation-to-finish construction industry.

    • In-depth understanding of foundation-to-finish construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

    • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.

    • Strong leadership and communication skills.

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software would be an asset.

    • Civic Engineering Technology diploma (Construction Management, Architectural or Structural), Carpentry Certificate OR related field (or equivalent work experience).

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Foundation-to-Finish Expertise: Leverage your extensive site building experience to actively participate in on-site construction activities.

    • Foreman Duties: Act as the on-site foreman, leveraging your foundation-to-finish expertise to supervise and coordinate the construction crew, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to project timelines while being hands-on tasks when necessary.

    Responsibilities:

    Project Planning and Scheduling:

    • Collaborate with the site supervisor and owner to develop comprehensive project plans and schedules.

    • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with project timelines and milestones.

    • Keep the project schedule up to date and inform the project team of any scheduling conflicts or changes in a timely manner.

    Resource Management:

    • Assist in resource allocation, including labour, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements.

    • Develop scope of works for pricing for sub-contractor work, coordinating and sourcing pricing for all trades.

    Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and change orders.

    • Generate regular progress reports for internal stakeholders and clients, highlighting key milestones, issues, and solutions.

    Communication and Coordination:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries from internal teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

    • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among project team members to resolve issues and ensure project success.

    • Manage and plan weekly project meetings and maintain accurate records for agendas and meeting minutes.

    Quality Assurance and Compliance:

    • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, and quality standards.

    • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any deviations or deficiencies.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, costs, or quality.

    • Work closely with the owner to develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to minimize disruptions.

    Budget Tracking and Cost Control:

    • Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenditures.

    • Track project costs, including labor, materials, and overhead, and report variances to the project management team.

    • Participate in cost-saving initiatives and value engineering efforts where applicable.
